REPORT ON WORKSHOP ON POCSO ACT – 28th June 2025

CRPF Public School, Rohini, organized an awareness workshop on POCSO (Protection of Children from Sexual Offences) to educate teachers on safeguarding children and handling sensitive situations effectively.

The session was conducted by Ms. Aastha Dabla, a Counseling Psychologist with a Master’s degree in Clinical Psychology and over three years of experience across schools, counseling centers, and juvenile observation homes.

Ms. Dabla explained the objectives and scope of the POCSO Act, various kinds of offences that fall under it, and the corresponding punishments. She also guided teachers on how to identify signs of abuse, the correct approach a school should take if such an incident occurs, and how to counsel and support affected children sensitively.

The session was insightful and reinforced the importance of being vigilant, informed, and compassionate in ensuring every child's safety and well-being.
