On October 14, 2025, CRPF Public School, Rohini, Delhi, hosted an inspiring workshop for Classes XI and XII students on careers in the Indian Navy. The event featured distinguished officers: Lieutenant Commanders Davis Veedan, Merlin John, and Sumit Chavan, along with Leading Seaman Krishnaveer.
Principal Ma'am, Mrs. Nidhi Chaudhary warmly welcomed the guests by presenting them with saplings as symbols of growth and gratitude. In her address, she expressed the pride the nation takes in their service, stating that they are the brave guardians of our seas.
The officers began with the Indian Navy's rich history, tracing its origins to 1612 and key milestones like "Operation Trident"of Indo- Pak of 1971 . They discussed diverse career opportunities, including roles in engineering, aviation, and command, with entry via NDA, University Entry Scheme, or Short Service Commission.
They highlighted the Navy's fleet: aircraft carriers like INS Vikrant, destroyers, corvettes, and nuclear submarines like INS Arihant, emphasizing their role in securing India's 7,500 km coastline.
The Students engaged actively with questions, leaving inspired to explore naval paths. The workshop ended on a high note, igniting dreams of service among the youth.
