The students of Class 9 had an enriching experience watching the theatrical performance on the French Revolution at the Kamani Auditorium on 21st August 2025. The play brought history to life with powerful acting, dramatic scenes, and realistic costumes that vividly portrayed the struggles of the common people, the rise of revolutionary ideas, and the fall of monarchy. Watching the performance helped them understand the events more clearly than from textbooks, as they could feel the emotions, hardships, and courage of the people of that time. It was both educational and inspiring, leaving the students with a deeper sense of appreciation for the French Revolution. I whole heartedly thank Principal ma'am for providing us an opportunity to witness such an enthralling performance of the French Revolution like never before.

Pre-primary and Primary Departments presenting a colourful and heart-stirring
assembly. The programme opened with a soulful patriotic song by the choir
students, followed by an inspiring talk on the essence of independence. Young
learners brought history alive through character portrayals of freedom
fighters, while Class 1 students’ spirited poem recital stirred national pride.
A vibrant cultural dance showcased India’s diversity. Principal Ma’am’s motivating
address urged students to give up bad habits, limit mobile use, and contribute
to environmental cleanliness.
Adding to the patriotic fervour, Shrum House conducted a
special assembly on 13th August, merging the spirit of Independence Day with
the devotional joy of Janmashtami. The event featured a melodious choir song, a
powerful speech, graceful dances, and a thought-provoking skit, celebrating
both the nation’s freedom and the birth of Lord Krishna.
The celebrations reached their zenith on 15th August, when
the school hostellers took centre stage to anchor and present a power-packed
Independence Day programme. It began with an introduction to the day’s
significance, followed by the flag hoisting by our respected Principal Ma’am,
Mrs. Nidhi Chaudhary, as the National Anthem resonated in unison. The morning
was enriched with a patriotic song by the choir, a stirring Saga of Freedom,
inspiring poem recitations, and a symbolic cycling rally carrying the Tiranga,
spreading the message of unity and pride.
Across all days, the school campus reverberated with the
colours of the tricolour, the echoes of patriotic songs, and the commitment to
uphold the values of freedom. The celebrations not only honoured the sacrifices
of the past but also inspired every student to pledge towards a brighter,
stronger, and more inclusive India.
These celebrations were a solemn and heartfelt tribute to
the true heroes of our nation—the brave soldiers who have selflessly sacrificed
