CRPF PUBLIC SCHOOL, ROHINI celebrated Tagore Jayanti with great enthusiasm and creativity to honour the legacy of Rabindranath Tagore—poet, philosopher, and visionary. The day was marked by a vibrant array of activities that allowed students to engage with Tagore’s life and works through art, expression, reflection, and performance.

The celebrations began with colourful poem illustrations and poetry posters, where students brought Tagore’s verses to life through drawings and design. A burst of creativity was also seen in the quote card making and bookmark designing activities, which showcased inspiring quotes by Tagore, paired with artistic flair.

In the literary segment, students recited simple poems by Tagore with expression and grace, and some penned acrostic poems using words like “Tagore” and “Gitanjali.” A read-aloud and reflection session offered an opportunity to delve into Tagore’s prose, encouraging students to connect with his thoughts and write personal reflections.

The day also included screening of movies based on Kabuliwala and The Postmaster, and a unique role-play activity that imagined a conversation between Rabindranath Tagore and a modern student. These brought out Tagore’s timeless relevance in an interactive manner.

Interactive learning was further enhanced through a lively fact hunt quiz on Tagore’s life, childhood, and the foundation of Santiniketan.

The celebration concluded with thought-provoking speeches, a spirited debate on education in the light of Tagore’s philosophy, and heartfelt letters to Tagore expressing how his work continues to inspire today’s youth. A few students also shared book and poem reviews, reflecting deep engagement with his literary creations.

Overall, Tagore Jayanti served as a meaningful tribute to the great thinker and was a celebration of creativity, thought, and the enduring power of words.
