 LET US RESTORE OUR EARTH

The students of class VI celebrated Earth Day with a medley of educational and fun activities . They were informed ahead about the importance of Earth Day and then through myriad conservation- related activities were planned. Students

made posters showing how can we can save our Mother Earth. The students were told to either find or write an appropriate slogan for the occasion.

Go- Green " initiative was taken to engage the learners of class VI in making a difference.

Students adopted a sapling, gave it a name and gathered important information regarding the plant. Discussion on

importance of afforestation, planting of trees and the need for everyone to put together their efforts and get into action became a significant part of the celebration.

EXPERIENTIAL LEARNING ACTIVITY OF NATURE WALK IN THE BACKYARD OR COURTYARD

Students were made aware of various ecosystems and the multifold weather conditions.

Students made dry flowers tiara,  dry seeds bracelet  , colourful badges using vegetable colours creative sheet based on nature walk .

INTEGRATION OF EARTH DAY WITH SCIENCE :

Students were asked to take a closer look at leaves, their characteristics, and how they can be used to identify plants.

INTEGRATION OF EARTH DAY WITH MATH :

Students were asked to  measure trees in different ways to get familiar with a tree’s scale and structure.

STUDENTS TOOK A PLEDGE AND PLANNED A SPECIAL FUN DAY WITH THEIR SAPLING .
