Orientation for Class I for the session 2019-20 was held on 26.3.2019.The session commenced with Pre primary Incharge,Ms Hema Batra congratulating the Parents for their child’s innumerable achievements and conveying gratitude for their support as ‘partners in progress’ of their ward.She briefed the parents about the rules and regulations of the school,co-scholastic activities and inter class competitions,changes that children will be exposed to in the next class and gave tips to enable smooth transition of children from KG to Grade 1.The Class teachers of Class 1,Ms. Anju,Ms Kavita Manchanda and Ms. Nidhi Nijhawan gave an overview of various subjects, pedagogies to be followed with examples of few ‘hands on ,brains on activities’,tips on how to inculcate good reading habits and assessment criterion to be followed in Grade 1. The session ended with School counselor, Ms. Jyotsna Kapoor ‘s brief talk on concerns related to the emotional well being of children,need to inculcate strong moral values and healthy food habits, soliciting the support of parents so that collaborative efforts can help provide wind to the wings of little ones for them to soar high.
