Students of class 5 visited old age
home on 27/09/18 located at sec-11, Rohini. The activity aimed to create
awareness about the needs of old people and to sensitize children to pay respect
to their elders in order to instil values in them.
Students presented a programme
which included poetry, songs played various instruments. This was followed by
an interaction round, where children asked questions to the inmates regarding
their hobbies, professions , taste. There was an overwhelming response from the
members of old age home. They participated by singing , dancing and giving them
advice on various issues.
Towards the end of the programme
children distributed few snacks and fruits as a gesture of respect towards
them. The programme was a great success.
