Hindi was declared as the Official Language
(Rajbhasha) of India on 14 September 1949 that is why this day is celebrated as
Hindi Diwas since 1953.
On this day a
small Hindi quiz was organized by the Hindi Department in which, each and every
Hostel students participated enthusiastically. For every correct answer chocolates
were awarded by the Department Head Mrs. Anju Dwivedi.
Students were also briefed about the importance of
this day and language as well.
