INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING

Dear Reader,
26th June is celebrated as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. To commemorate this day, CRPF Public School, Rohini undertook a number of events to generate awareness and sensitize the students against this menace. 

The following events were conducted :-
1.      A rally was conducted which was flagged off from school by Principal, Mrs. Nidhi Chaudhary on 2nd July,2016.  The students along with the students marched and spread awareness in the nearby area. They carried Placards, Banners, Posters etc.  It was a peace march.  Students were given the refreshment after they returned from the Rally.
2.               In the Morning Assembly on 4th July 2016, the Principal Mrs.Nidhi Chaudhary addressed the students and made them aware of the ill effects of drugs and how they can keep themselves away of it.  The main aim was to make the students realize the problem.
3.           Collage Making competition was held on 2nd July,2016. The students of Class XI of various streams –Science, Commerce and Humanities, participated in the Collage based on the aforesaid topic.
4.   English Essay and Poem Writing Competition was also held on 4th July,2016. Many students participated and penned down their views on this issue.
 5.     A talk was delivered by Dr.Bijender Sandhu, Ph.D.in Rehabilitation, Senior Consultant, Santom Hospital, Associate Professor, Technia Institute of Rehabilitation Science. He talked about the root cause of taking drugs and how to avoid it. He also talked about Rehabilitation Centres which help affected people to come out of this trap. The Power Point really made his talk more interesting and easily understood by students.
6.      A few Power Point presentations were also made by students of Class XI (Humanities) to be uploaded in the Smart classes so that the other children can be benefited.
7.     A spontaneous on the Spot Poster Making Competition was also taken up in English Class XII (Humanities).
8.               Students of Shraddha House also prepared the Board on the aforesaid topic.
