Exploring India’s Artistic Treasures

The museum is not just a place to observe; it’s an opportunity to learn about the cultural significance and artistic heritage of India.

On 6th August 25, budding artists from the Primary Department visited National Craft Museum and Hastkala Academy, Delhi. Children were awestruck and enriched, gaining practical knowledge through activities such as pottery, Sanganeri hand block printing, weaving of Manipur, Kanhi shawl weaving on a handloom, and witnessing the graceful Sattriya dance from Assam. It was a mind opening session on Indian culture and its prestige across the world, which children enjoyed through listening, interacting and noting down important points in their diaries.

A museum is truly a treasure house filled with antiques. The historical panorama included wooden works like Jharokha from a Gujrat fort, metal casting, textiles, sculptures, puppets and artifacts from different states and regions of India. The village complex was another highlight showcasing traditional houses and the lively works of skilled artisans. The visit was both educational and inspiring, leaving young learners enriched with knowledge and creativity.

Heartiest gratitude to our Principal ma’am for her vision in nurturing a new ray of aesthetic sense among our upcoming creators.
