To give an insight into this day,
A special assembly was conducted with traditional fervour and gaiety on 13th
April 2023. The students highlighted the religious and cultural significance of
the festival. The motive behind the celebration was to apprise the students of
our rich culture and heritage and to extend their gratitude towards farmers.
Our tiny tots also came dressed up in traditional Punjabi colourful outfits
with ornaments and accessories to celebrate the yellow day. It was a treat to
the eyes to see the students dance to dhol beats and Punjabi folk music. All
the students added a special touch to the entire celebration when they danced
together to the beats of the music. Students showed their talent in various art
and craft activities like poster making, greeting card making activities etc.
Teachers shared stories, showed videos and discussed the importance of this day
with the students. The mood was upbeat and children were actively immersed in
the festive spirit.
