Pi Approximation Day Celebration – 22 July 2026

Pi Approximation Day, celebrated on 22 July (22/7), commemorates the famous fractional approximation of the mathematical constant π (Pi). The day encourages students to explore the beauty, history, and real-life applications of mathematics through engaging and creative activities.

To mark the occasion, our school organized a variety of enriching activities across different classes:

* Class VI: Students explored the origin and history of π, learning about its discovery and significance through the ages.

* Class VII: Students showcased their creativity through a Poster Making Activity, illustrating the importance and applications of π.

* Classes VIII–X: Students enthusiastically participated in a Pi Recitation Activity, reciting the digits of π with the aid of an interactive PowerPoint presentation.

* Classes XI–XII: Students explored “Pi Beyond the Circle,” discussing the role of π in higher mathematics, science, engineering, and everyday life.

The celebration fostered curiosity, creativity, and a deeper appreciation for mathematics, making learning both meaningful and enjoyable for all participants.
