 Date: 21 July 2026

Venue: Home Science Laboratory

Under the CBSE Culinary Skills Challenge, CRPF Public School, Rohini successfully organized the Fire and Non-Fire Cooking Competitions, providing students with an excellent platform to showcase their culinary creativity, teamwork, and awareness of healthy food practices.

Students enthusiastically prepared a wide variety of nutritious and innovative dishes, including sandwiches, salads, and Indian, Asian, and Western cuisines. Their presentations reflected creativity, hygiene, balanced nutrition, and excellent culinary skills.

The school was privileged to have Mrs. Mamta Gupta, Culinary Expert, as the esteemed judge for the event. She appreciated the students' efforts and shared valuable insights on nutrition, food presentation, hygiene, and healthy eating habits. Her expert guidance and encouraging interaction mesmerized the participants and inspired them to adopt healthy culinary practices.

The participants were evaluated on well-defined criteria that emphasized both culinary skills and healthy cooking practices. The judgement was based on taste and flavour, creativity and innovation, presentation and plating, nutritional value, hygiene and cleanliness, effective use of ingredients, time management, confidence while presenting the dish, and cooking techniques (for the Fire Cooking Competition). The comprehensive evaluation encouraged students to focus not only on the final dish but also on the overall cooking process and presentation.

As a heartfelt gesture of gratitude, the students presented handmade thank-you cards to the judge as a token of love and appreciation for her valuable time, encouragement, and guidance.

The competition was conducted in a vibrant and enthusiastic atmosphere, with students displaying remarkable confidence, innovation, and teamwork. The event successfully promoted healthy cooking habits and helped students develop essential life skills.

The school extends its sincere gratitude to our respected Principal Ma'am for her constant encouragement and for initiating such a meaningful learning experience. Her vision and support made the event a grand success and inspired students to explore the art and science of healthy cooking.
