Kindergarten Adaptation Period Report
Duration: 01/05/2026 – 15/05/2026
The adaptation period was thoughtfully designed to ensure a smooth and positive transition of children into the school environment. A range of structured and play-based experiential learning activities, including Pick & Perform, Floury Shadow, sensory games, Hopscotch, Feed the Clown, and Roll the Ball, were conducted to promote engagement and participation.
The activities were aligned with the NCF-FS developmental goals, focusing on:
* Good Health and Well-being through physical activities and active play
* Effective Communication through interactive and expressive opportunities
* Involved Learners connected with their environment through hands-on and exploratory experiences
Activities such as Buddy Bonanza, Friendship Tunnel, and Greet to Meet – Selfie Time facilitated social bonding and emotional comfort. Special events like My First Day at School, Colour Day, and Healthy Bites on the Ramp role play (fruits and vegetables) further enriched the learning experience.
Parents were invited for the Puppet Show, which was an immensely engaging and joyful experience for all.
We are grateful to the Principal Ma’am for her constant guidance and support in the successful implementation of the adaptation programme.
Overall, the adaptation period successfully created a supportive, nurturing, and stimulating environment, ensuring that children settled into school with confidence and enthusiasm.
