Celebration of ‘Happiness Week’ in Pre Primary

‘Happiness Week’ was celebrated from  9.7.2018 to 13.7.2018 .Various activities were carried out as part of the celebrations.Students  made smiley  badges..  Various rhymes and songs like ‘when you are happy and you know it,clap-----‘ were taught to Pre Primary.Students also danced to the tunes of happiness songs .They tapped their feet on ‘Happy feet’ song performing Zumba. Happiness quotes were displayed in different corners to spread message of ‘ Be happy and make others happy’.

Following reflective exercises were taken up-

Close your eyes and think of happiness, what  do you see?

Whom do you owe your gratitude that makes you happy?

How can you make others happy?

Do you feel happy when you see others happy/make others happy?

Teachers were awestruck by the replies of the young minds .Puppet show and magic show were organized .Students were spellbound by the performance of the magician and puppeteers. The week culminated with a feeling that  ‘spreading happiness ,makes us happy too’.

CLASS ASSEMBLY VC)

Students of Class V-C presented the morning assembly on the topic Population or Human resource. The whole class participated in it. The students spoke about the advantages and disadvantages of increasing population. The students spoke about population day, human resource and presented a song and poems about increasing population. It was very informative for all the students.

 

CLASS ASSEMBLY – 7B

ABC of Life – Attitude, Belief and Courage

On July11, 2018, Class 7B conducted special assembly on the theme - ABC of Life – ‘A’ stands for Attitude, ‘B’ is for Belief and ‘C’ is Courage. There was 100 percent participation by the students of class- 7B. First, a poem was presented on the topic –‘Life’ followed by a skit about the life of a young girl – Sudha Chandran, who despite her leg amputation became an accomplished Bharatanatyam dancer as well as a renowned Indian film and TV actress. A beautiful Bharatanatyam dance performance and a song on the topic – ‘Happiness’ were presented by the students. At the end, the students presented a talk on the topic – ABC of Life, depicting various attributes of Attitude, belief and Courage. The students participated in the assembly with great zeal and enthusiasm and it was appreciated by one and all.

WORKSHOP FOR CLASS 12th

A workshop was organised for class 12th on the topic- ' Stress Management'. The workshop commenced with the welcome of guest speaker by Principal Ma'am.

The speaker, Mr. Ashtam Neelkanth gave an insight into the various symptoms of stress and the need for channelising it into the right direction. He explained various ways of coping with stress through innovative strategies and also practically demonstrated Progressive Muscle Relaxation Therapy through deep breathing and meditation. It was an enriching session in which students learnt various coping mechanisms and participated with enthusiasm.

A Visit of Class XI students at the District Court Rohini

The students of 11 Humanities visited the District  court at Rohini on 7th July 2018 under the Legal Literacy program. The students were briefed  by  a team Advocates & Honorable Judges on the various issues   regarding civil & criminal cases. Students cleared their doubts by asking questions.
