Report on English Language Day Celebration
CRPF Public School, Rohini
Echoing the spirit of this profound thought, the English Department of CRPF Public School, Rohini, celebrated English Language Day with great enthusiasm and intellectual vibrancy. The occasion aimed to honour the richness of the English language and the enduring legacy of William Shakespeare.
The celebration commenced with a virtual tour of the Globe Theatre, offering students a vivid insight into the Elizabethan era and the theatrical world of Shakespeare. This immersive experience deepened their understanding of literary history and performance.
A thought-provoking panel discussion on the relevance of Shakespeare in contemporary times encouraged students to reflect on how his themes of ambition, love, power, and human nature continue to resonate today. Participants shared perceptive viewpoints, drawing meaningful connections with modern society.
The day was enlivened with a range of interactive activities, including a quiz competition, a ‘Complete the Phrase’ challenge, and an engaging rapid-fire round, all centred on Shakespearean works and expressions. These activities enhanced students’ linguistic competence while making learning enjoyable.
Students also witnessed the screening of selected scenes from Shakespeare’s plays, bringing his dramatic genius to life. This was complemented by dramatic readings, where students showcased their expression, voice modulation, and interpretative abilities.
Additionally, a variety of language games added an element of fun and active participation, ensuring holistic engagement.
The celebration of English Language Day proved to be a resounding success, fostering a deeper appreciation for literature and language. It provided a dynamic platform for creativity, critical thinking, and collaborative learning, truly reflecting the spirit of holistic education.
We thank principal ma'am for her continued support.
Regards
