Navratri
The word Navratri is derived from Sanskrit, meaning nine nights - Nava (nine) ratri (night). The festival is associated to the prominent battle that took place between Durga and demon Mahishasura and celebrates the victory of Good over Evil. These nine days are solely dedicated to Goddess Durga and her nine Avatars – The Navadurga.
Ram Navami
Rama came to this earth to save man from the cruelty of Ravana. The reign of Lord Rama was marked with righteousness, peace and prosperity. The ninth day of Chaitra month in Hindu calendar is observed as Ram Navami.
On this auspicious occasion, students of class VII celebrated the festival beginning with a prayer wishing the well being and health for all and the eradication of all sorrows and sufferings the world is facing today.
Then the students presented their poems, songs, speech, dance on navratri and Ram Navmi.
It was a program filled with hope and the children performed with enthusiasm and zeal.
The program was ended with Maa Durga's Aarti to seek her blessings for all.
Thank You.
