SUMMER CAMP 2010

Dear all

We must admit that the scorching heat of this summer is getting intolerable with each passing day. Anyways, we managed to beat the heat for some time at least (17 May -28 May, to be precise!), as we had a really successful Summer Camp this year too.

The diversity of activities that were offered was magnificent. Ranging from Vedic maths,Creative learning time, Computers, Science activities, Photography, Pottery, Puppetry, Making best out of waste, Meal planning, Theatre and drama to western dance and the indoor games ; the camp had everything that one could crave for.

On the last day of Summer Camp six students were awarded trophies for their outstanding performances in various activities , nine students were awarded certificates and a gift for excellence in different activities and all other participants were awarded a certificate of participation. We loved the whole feeling of having hosted a very enriching Summer Camp for these young learners. The dedication of teacher coordinators is worth applause.

ABHIVYAKTI

Dear All

On May 14, 2010, Shakti and Shaurya House celebrated their House function together with the underlying theme “Abhivyakti” meaning Expressions. The guest of honour was our founder Principal Shri Suraj Prakash.

The function was inaugurated in a very traditional way by lighting of the lamp by the Guest of honour Shri Suraj Prakash. The programme began with a Choir performance, where students of Shakti and Shaurya house presented a melodious song full of zest “Saho gagan ghata gehrani re”. It was followed by welcome address by our Principal madam Mrs. Meenu Tiwari.

Aakash Parida and Sakshee dhawan presented the Shakti House report to enlighten audience with the achievements of the house. Then the Orchestra presented an enchanting performance on the theme “Arrival of spring”. It was followed by the Shaurya House report which was read by Sidhharth Dwivedi and Saumya Raj. The guest of honour gave away certificates and trophies to students who excelled in various fields of art, dance, music and academics.

Students then presented a play on “Generation Gap” which was appreciated by all. It conveyed the present day scenario of diminishing values and virtues of a son/daughter towards their parents and how it needs to be curbed. At last students presented a lively and colourful folk dance of Gujarat, “Dandiya” and a western group dance.

The programme was appreciated by one and all. Our Guest of Honour encouraged students with his ever-inspiring words. Later, Mrs. Sujata Chakraborty proposed the vote of thanks. Beginning with the lyrical harmony of choir group to swaying dancers of Dandiya, the programme captured a colourful expression “Abhivyakti” and the students are determined to surprise everyone every year with a yet new expression!

We are still in our infancy... and we like love these moments while we are growing up! We cherish everything that came our way during our journey and will continue to do so...!

It's often said that reaching high is easy, staying there isn't! Hence, instead of doing newer things this year, we aimed at maintaining everything we had initiated... It took incredible amount of dedication to keep standing where we are...

We'll try to keep our journey going in the same spirit ( if not a better spirit!). As always, we'll need your affection...

AN OPPORTUNITY TO NURTURE YOUR TALENT
From: 17 May 2010 to 29 May 2010
Time: 7:15 am to 11:30 am

Proposed Activities to be included are

Dance, Theatre, Vedic Mathematics, Computers & Internet, Meal Planning,Making best out of waste, Puppet making, Magic Show, Pottery/ clay modeling, Creative learning time, Basic photography techniques,Movie Show, Gardening etc.

The skill of Making best out of waste will help your ward make wonders out of scrap!

The creative learning time will offer activities such as Origami, Paper texturing and its applications,Craft of designing greeting cards, wall hangings, pen stands etc.

The Photography lessons will equip children with the basic skills and techniques of photography through various demonstrations.

The camp is open for all (CRPF/ NON-CRPF, OUTSIDERS).

All the students who will join the camp will be given a Certificate of participation on the final day of the camp in a function, wherein children will be exhibiting their acquired skills.

The Fee structure for the various categories is as follows:

CRPF ward: Rs.300, Non-CRPF: Rs.500, Outsider: Rs.800

BIDDING ADIEU TO PRINCIPAL SIR

Dear All

12 April 2010 saw in its wake an eventful day in the history of CRPF Public School, Rohini as the school bade farewell to its founder Principal, Shri Suraj Prakash who dedicated 22 years of his relentless service to the school.

He addressed the school assembly in the morning. The school band which was also initiated by him, saluted him. He advised the children to work hard and march on in life, not to look back, not to wait for anyone as one always has to be alone, “ Ekla Chalo, Ekla Chalo Re… “. He blessed all and asked the students to live up to the motto, “Yoga Karamsu Kaushlam “.

In the afternoon, after school, the teachers bade farewell to him who had come along with his wife Mrs. Romilla. It was a sentimental and a nostalgic moment where the founder teachers and Principal shared a few old and happy memories... the days of yore when the classes were held in barracks. One of the PTA members called him “The Guiding Force” who enabled the school to reach such heights and carve a niche for itself amongst the reputed schools of Delhi. His perseverance, hard work and belief has been ingrained in the very essence of the school and can be seen clearly. Very modestly and humbly, he gave the credit of the success of the school to its management, teachers and students.

He was presented with a shawl, a gift and an “Abhinandan Patra”. One of the teachers dedicated a self composed poem to him highlighting the glories of the sun befitting his name, “Suraj”. This was followed by lunch. And finally, he was escorted to his home.

Our beloved Sir achieved success, gained respect of all and accomplished a lot. He had looked the best in others and given the best he had. He has been an inspiration to all and his memories will be a benediction.

WE LOVE YOU, DEAREST SIR!

Dear all

We really don't have a lot to say on such an occasion. Among the many emotions that we all carry in our hearts, we choose to share about how fortunate we have been to be blessed with such a leader, a father, a mentor, a guru, a person to whom we owe a lot. The baghban of CRPF School Family, our Principal sir has decided to move on in life leaving footprints behind. He's all set to start an amazingly new chapter in his life, full of refreshing possibilities.

The morning of 12 April was altogether different for everyone. The students and staff finally bade farewell to our loving Sir knowing that the sun will not rise in the usual way from now on. But seasons change, and eventually, we learn to smile at the new breeze!!!

The school's band welcomed our ever-so-graceful Sir while He arrived to address 'His' students with a dazzling smile. Like always, He was at his best and the thought of bidding goodbye to Him appeared all the more impossible than ever. The school's new Principal Mrs. Minu Tiwari held the podium and extended a heartfelt welcome to the founder Principal for that day and for all the days to come! Further, students spoke their hearts out while everybody forced their tears not to show up. In the form of words and poems, everybody was intent to let Him know that He will be missed. Always. Along with their respective class teachers, students of Class XII were ready with small but sweet tokens of love and admiration for Sir. The representatives of the PTA also thanked Sir for being a great philosopher and guide. On a formal note, the school's Head Girl dedicated some words to Sir on behalf of all the students. Then the school's Vice-Principal Mrs. Anjali Malik shared her heartfelt appreciation for Sir's professional guidance and expertise and wished Him Good luck for the roads ahead.

And the most precious of all the moments were yet to come! The most precious of all the words were yet to be spoken! Waiting desperately than always, it was time to listen to our Sir... He did not just speak, He inspired us all. He never failed to radiate perpetual positivity and the ever-lasting enthusiasm throughout. Punctuated with several anecdotes, His words were all one could ask for. Emphasizing on the 'Power Of Simplicity','Getting Great by feeling Gratitude','Giving and Forgiving','Innovating Oneself','Giving first and then Getting back', Sir really overwhelmed us with His charisma. In His words- The Best Practice Is To Practice! It's really hard to put 'His' words in 'our' words. In honest words, whoever missed it, missed it forever!

Of all the things we could ever say to the World's Greatest 'Badey Sir', Goodbye is our least favourite! And hence, we could just muster enough courage to wish Him a Very Happy Life ahead...

Things were never easy. It was SIR, whose belief made them so. THANKS SIR for that and lots more...

Let Earth's Darkest Hour Also Be Our Brightest !

Dear all

We hope that you all are doing great (especially those who are appearing for their examinations!). It's been long since we last felt the need to share something with you. This time, we wish to enlighten you about the upcoming Earth Hour ...

Earth Hour is a WWF ( World Wide Fund For Nature) initiative which sends across an inspiring message of hope and action for Climate Change. On 27th March 2010, cities, towns and municipalities across the world will turn off their lights for one hour.

NDPL has partnered with WWF and are urging us all to join hands with them by switching off our lights from 8:30 PM - 9:30 PM on 27th March 2010.

BIDDING FAREWELL

Dear all

Don't be dismayed at goodbyes, a farewell is necessary before you can meet again and meeting again, after moments or lifetimes, is certain for those who are friends… The word 'Farewell' has a sad note to it. Yet we commemorate this day to recollect all bygone delightful memories.

It was a day to remember, time to feel sad along, with a time to feel hopeful and thankful. This was the way the feelings of the day was expressed on Saturday, February 13, 2010 at the sight of the colossal building of C.R.P.F PUBLIC SCHOOL where our school Bid Farewell to class XII Students .

There were people who were sad as they would never be able to walk down those corridors again but to many it was a day to reminisce about the years spent there.

At about 11:30 a.m. students of class 12th started coming beautifully dressed ready to revel the last day of their school lives.The anchors welcomed the guests by reciting some pleasing poems.This was followed by group of boys singing songs like ‘Give me Some Sunshine’ and ‘Junoon’. Titles were given to each and every student of class 12^th depending on their nature. After the titles of 12^th-A, the girls performed a stunning dance on the song ‘Hasta Lavista’ and filled all with energy and enthusiasm.

Again, after the titles of 12^th-B, it was the turn to give away the Title of Mr. and Miss CRPF. A competition was conducted in which selected students were called upon. Gunjan Jain- the Head Girl of the school bagged the title of Miss CRPF and Rajeev Dwivedi that of Mr. CRPF. Shitij Dhodhi- the Head Boy became “The Gentleman of the Evening” while Kasturi Paladhi became “The Lady of the Evening”. After the titles of 12^th- C, a group of boys enthralled all with their splendid dance performance. Finally, students of 12^th-D were given the titles.

Everyone enjoyed the event. Principal Sir gave valuable advice and blessed the students. The Head Boy and The Head Girl addressed the gathering and thanked the school for all its contribution to their lives.

Everyone enjoyed the lunch, chatted amongst themselves and clicked pictures. After lunch, it was time to hit the dance floor. The students danced to their heart's content. This way, 13^th Feb’10, became a memorable event in many a lives.
