 International Tiger Day celebration in Pre Primary & Primary department:

“Tiger Tiger burning bright will not let you fade out of sight, that is my promise and for you we will fight. SAVE TIGERS.”

'International Tiger Day' was celebrated across the Pre-primary department on Friday, 29th July 2022.

Unfortunately due to our carelessness, tigers are now on the verge of extinction.  Activities carried out today were an attempt to get our children to take charge of the situation and disseminate the message further due to concerning factors such as Climate change, Poaching, Illegal Wildlife trade, and Habitat Loss.

To spread awareness about the need to conserve tigers, International Tiger Day is observed every year. International Tiger Day or World Tiger Day is celebrated annually on 29 July to make people aware of the severe threats faced by tigers around the globe.

India is home to nearly 70% of the world’s tiger population. The tiger also enjoys the reputation of being the largest member of the Cat Family, but as per the World Wildlife Fund (WWF) report, approximately 95 % of the Tiger population has declined in the last 150 years. Therefore, this day aims to encourage all to take appropriate action to save this majestic beast. Students of primary department were given insight about the significance of this day and it was celebrated with lots of enthusiasm. The key highlights are as follows:

World Nature Conservation Day

If you will look around you will see that the earth is crying for help. To enlighten our little citizens for the same, the Pre Primary department celebrated World Nature Conservation day with great gusto.  Activities like Badge making, Headgear making, Wall hangings and poem recitation were conducted. To encourage student's imaginative skills 'Best out of Waste activity' was also carried out. This was followed by planting of saplings.  Our tiny tots showed great eagerness while planting the saplings. The incharge, Ms. Hema Batra also planted various saplings and educated the students about adopting various eco friendly habits. Students also took pledge to alter their habits to help in saving the natural resources. The aim of this day was to propagate awareness amongst our children about the importance of nurturing our Nature for a promising and better future. After all, a small group of thoughtful, committed and responsible little citizens can change the world.

Students of Pre-Primary and Primary Department observed 'Kargil Vijay Diwas'  to honour the brave soldiers of the Indian Army who selflessly laid down their lives to safeguard India's borders. Series of activities were organized which aimed at remembering the glorious deeds of the martyrs. The highlights are:

●Importance of this day highlighting role of Kargil heroes was given to students.

● Location of Kargil was also shown using smart board. Children discussed about three Indian Armed forces and paramilitary forces. They also shared their thoughts and feelings as a patriot.

Our tiny tots came up beautifully dressed as soldiers. They sang patriotic songs and filled the entire atmosphere with patriotism. The activities like ' Poster Making' and 'Popsicle stick soldier Making' were conducted to instil a sense of patriotism in students, apart from honing their creativity and imagination.

Discussion by the teachers made the event informative and enlightening. It explained the students about the significance of Kargil Vijay Diwas and the sacrifices of Kargil heroes, which was also followed by inspirational stories of the war. Students also spoke few lines on 'Kargil Vijay Diwas'

These martyrs shall forever live on in the memories of a grateful nation. Their tales of valour shall inspire generations of young Indians.

TREE PLANTATION DRIVE

On 28th of July, 2022, a remarkable legacy of planting saplings was taken forward by the students of classes 6 to 9, Courtesy- Eco Club, "Nature Nurture" as a step towards sustainability. The Principal, Mrs Nidhi Chaudhary, CRPF Public School, Rohini initiated the drive by planting saplings of Neem and Amla (Indian Gooseberry).

The highlights of the event are as follows:

10 Tree saplings plantation drive:

●Guava ●Pomegranate ●Neem ● Amla

These plants were selected on the basis of their medicinal and aesthetic value. The Principal further remarked, “We are planting a life instead of a tree”.

Our planet Earth continues to deteriorate every day but events like these create a baby step but a major impact, one that is likely to bring a healthy effect on our environment.

 

 Our Hon'ble Prime Minister launched the 22nd National Reading Month to propagate the message of 'Read and grow'

Further spearheading this in practice, our Pre-Primary department celebrated reading month with great zeal and enthusiasm.

Students enthusiastically discussed about their favourite fictional characters from various story books. Alluring works of art in the form of bookmarks, festooned the celebration. 

Some of the major highlights among activities are:

1) Expand your Vocabulary

2) Frame your Acrostic Poem

2) Tap the spoken letters,

3) Jump into the Island 

Students also exhibited their multifaceted genuises in 'Talking Pictures'  activity, where they created their own stories using pictures.

The week ended with 'Character Parade' where students created and wore beautiful face masks depicting their favourite book character(s) and spoke their favourite dialogues.

This week proved to be a perfect amalgamation of learning and fun, and our young learners were delighted as they learnt from a praxis of learning and doing.

 The students from the Pre-Primary, Primary and Middle Wings of CRPF Public School, Rohini pledged their earnest contribution on the occasion of World Plastic Bag Free Day-2022. The highlights of the event are as follows:

●  The Students came up with an activity of designing bags using paper and jute

●They pledged their generous contribution towards raising awareness for the purpose amidst peers and general public

●They pledged to completely eliminate the use of single-use plastics from their lives in all possible capacities

●Keep a check on safe plastic disposal so that ecological balance is ensured effectively.

 

CRPF Public School, Rohini organized various Yoga events on 21, June 2022 to celebrate the 8^th International Day of Yoga. This event was well attended by the staff and students with great enthusiasm. The event started with Surya Namaskar and a plethora of Yoga exercises were conducted thereon like Tadasan, Vajrasan, Bhujangasan etc. Later, these exercises were followed by breathing exercises like Anulom-Vilom, Bhramari, Dhanurasan etc. The event culminated with Shavasan. The students and staff had a delightful experience this morning and pledged to undertake Yoga everyday. The Principal addressed the gathering with her insight on the benefits of Yoga.

Anjani Kaushik, Abhinav, Prakhar Raj and Aarav Khatri of our school cleared MVPP (Mukhyamantri Vigyan Pratibha Pariksha) a prestigious scholarship exam conducted each year by the Science Branch of the Directorate of Education in Delhi. This exam was previously known as Junior Science Talent Search Examination (JSTSE).

 

 

 

LABOUR DAY CELEBRATION at CRPF PUBLIC SCHOOL, ROHINI

“All labour that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance, and hence should be undertaken with painstaking excellence.”

To celebrate the endless service of the labour force, that work tirelessly, our students celebrated Labour Day with great zeal.   Beautiful 'Thank You' cards were made and given to the house keeping staff. The teachers showed smart board presentations, videos and held discussions for developing a better understanding of labour community among our students, who must learn to respect and appreciate their efforts.

Overall it was a fruitful day which taught the students to be thankful to everyone.
