INTERNATIONAL DAY AGAINST DRUG ABUSE AND ILLICIT TRAFFICKING

26th
June is celebrated as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit
Trafficking. To commemorate this day, CRPF Public School, Rohini undertook a
number of events to generate awareness and sensitize the students against this
menace.
The following events were conducted :-

1. A rally was conducted which was flagged off from
school by Principal, Mrs. Nidhi Chaudhary on 2nd July,2016. The students along with the students marched
and spread awareness in the nearby area. They carried Placards, Banners,
Posters etc. It was a peace march. Students were given the refreshment after
they returned from the Rally.

In the Morning Assembly on 4th July 2016,
the Principal Mrs.Nidhi Chaudhary addressed the students and made them aware of
the ill effects of drugs and how they can keep themselves away of it. The main aim was to make the students realize
the problem.
3. Collage Making competition was held on 2nd
July,2016. The students of Class XI of various streams –Science, Commerce and
Humanities, participated in the Collage based on the aforesaid topic.
4. English Essay and Poem Writing Competition was also
held on 4th July,2016. Many students participated and penned down
their views on this issue.
5. A talk was delivered by Dr.Bijender Sandhu, Ph.D.in
Rehabilitation, Senior Consultant, Santom Hospital, Associate Professor,
Technia Institute of Rehabilitation Science. He talked about the root cause of
taking drugs and how to avoid it. He also talked about Rehabilitation Centres
which help affected people to come out of this trap. The Power Point really
made his talk more interesting and easily understood by students.
6. A few Power Point presentations were also made by
students of Class XI (Humanities) to be uploaded in the Smart classes so that
the other children can be benefited.
7. A spontaneous on the Spot Poster Making Competition
was also taken up in English Class XII (Humanities).
8.
Students of Shraddha House also prepared the Board on
the aforesaid topic.

Celebration of Eid @Pre-Primary Department
Dear Reader,
Special assembly was held on the eve of Eid. Our
school library in charge Mr. Ishtiaq Ahmed was invited to address the children
and tell them about the festival. He told the children about real meaning of Id-ul-Fitr and how they celebrate it.

festival in the PrePrimary as well as Senior assembly.In club periods (art
& craft club) also in classes KG & I ,children showcased their

Doctor’s Day Celebration - Pre-Primary Department

Monsoon
is back with festivities in the air and makes the journey of little kids
to the school after a long summer break
joyful.
Doctor’s Day was celebrated on July 1, 2016 and school
nurse Mrs. Deepa was invited to address the assembly. She told the children
about the importance of Doctor’s Day. It
is the birthday of Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy who was a great physician and was
honoured with the country’s highest civilian award, Bharat Ratna. She also spoke
about health and hygiene and how children can keep themselves fit by eating
good food and maintaining good hygiene.

INTERNATIONAL YOGA DAY - 21ST JUNE, 2016
Dear Reader,
The amazing
experience of a journey of self, through self, to self was witnessed as
International Yoga Day on 21st June, 2016 in the sprawling ground of
CRPF Public School, Sec- XIV, Rohini, Delhi. The event was organized between
7.00 am to 8.00 am and a divine aura of tranquility was experienced. Yoga means
addition- addition of energy, strength and beauty to body mind and soul. Around
100 NCC Cadets along with the faculty members performed Yoga amidst the serene
atmosphere created by ‘ Om Chanting’ .
Different yoga postures Vrikshaasna , Uttaanaasana, Trikonaasana, Bhadraasana,
Bhujangaasana finally ended with Pranayam and Meditation .
These aasnaas
were so closely related to the nature that they connected every heart and mind
to the power of nature and to the intangible culture of India. Students come
across an experience encompassing unmatched ways to manage stress through
breathing, awareness, meditation and healthy movement. Well coordinated the
event displayed beautifully articulated flexibility, strength and coordination.

to our honourable Prime Minister Mr. Narender Modi , to CBSE and to our
respected Principal Madam , Mrs. Nidhi Chaudhary for providing us this beatific
and nourishing experience, also for
making this healthy regime a part of our syllabus.

Summer Camp from 13th May, 2016 to 26th May, 2016
Dear Reader,
The golden beams of the radiant sun, flowers of myriad hues dancing to the warm breeze captivate the eyes and hearts of the beholder as they announce the arrival of the summer season.
But is that all? Do they not signify the commencement of the much awaited summer vacation and the summer camp?
The air was filled with laughter, celebration and joy of young children as the days of bookish theories and calculations came to an end and the time of fun, experiments and learning drew closer.
C.R.P.F Public School, Rohini engaged budding minds of classes 4th to 8th in an entertainment filled education summer camp from 13th May, 2016 to 26th May, 2016.
Each child is one of a kind. Each talent is unique. Like colourful flowers, distinctive in their shade and fragrance, children were groomed of their individual personalities, speech and decision making skills through Personality Development classes.
The artist in them was brought alive as they fought like a valiant king on the battlefield the first day and sold chocolates the other day in their theatre classes. The children were given the experience of living the lives of people from different walks of life and were taught how to master the art of bringing emotions on stage.
Talented young dancers tapped their feet and clapped their hands in rhythmic beat as music and dance blended in the spectacular choreography of western and classical dances while the young chefs tantalized the taste buds with refreshing dessert and savoury dishes under the guidance of their mentors.
Special thanks and gratitude to NIE and their extraordinary team members who provoked awe and wonder amongst the audience of both teachers and children through their performance of magic tricks, showcased skill and innovation in pottery making lessons, and brought the upcoming generation closer to the scientific, tech savvy and modern world though imparting the techniques of robotics to curious young learners.
The real fun begins when the much familiar mathematical calculations, literature and art are no longer boring but irresistibly a treat to the eyes and the minds. Children were engaged in brain storming sessions where numbers that were scary and calculations that took lifetime were replaced with instant solutions which were no magic but pure logic through the tricks of Vedic Maths.
Words and colours were unable to contain the talent and creativity of the young minds as they weaved gripping stories using the former and painted vivid images infusing techniques of Madhubhani and Tile Painting with the latter.
It was the 26th of May, a warm Thursday, when the talents of young and enthusiastic chefs, dancers and artists where staged through a rewarding display of meticulous performances and exhibition of artistic works which were emblematic of both the teacher’s and the learner’s hardwork.
At the end, these ever cherishable moments of rich experience, fun and learning wouldn’t have been possible without the guidance of the school principal Mrs. Nidhi Chaudhary who provided a platform to synergise education and fun for young learners through innovative and individual interest catering approach of the summer camp , Mrs. Seema Jain , the coordinator of the Summer Camp and the dedication of all the other teachers who devoted their precious time and energy for the shaping of little minds.
