INDEPENDENCE DAY CELEBRATIONS
PRE-PRIMARY AND PRIMARY
DEPARTMENT (KG-V)
“May we think of freedom not as
the right to do what we please, but as the opportunity to do what is right.”
To commemorate 78th Independence
Day of India our tiny tots and young learners showcased their patriotism and
pride for the nation through their class assembly activities. Classrooms echoed
with the resonating voices of students reciting patriotic poems and slogans
paying homage to the sacrifices made by those who fought for our independence.
The students, dressed in the vibrant colours of the nation – green, white and
saffron presented a melodious choir 'Salutation to Mother Land'. Students
created colorful kites and recited patriotic poems. Cultural activities like
song, dance, various art and craft activities like poster, collage making and
talk on national symbols and freedom
fighters were undertaken.
A video on freedom fighters was
showcased to our tiny patriots on our nation's history. The day served as a
reminder of the values of freedom, unity and democracy that form the foundation
of our country.
