The word "Milad" has been derived from "Viladut" which means 'birth'. Hence, Milad signifies the place and time of birth. According to Islamic Shariah, Milad is remembered as the term of events that took place at the time of the birth of the Holy Prophet.
The Hijri date 12 Rabi Awwal (one of the twelve months of the Islamic Calendar) is the Islamic birth date of Prophet Mohammed born in 570 C.E. Muslims celebrate this occasion as "MILAD-UN-NABI" throughout the month of Rabi Awwal.

Holi is an ancient festival of India and was originally known as 'Holika'. The festivals finds a detailed description in early religious works such as Jaimini's Purvamimamsa-Sutras and Kathaka-Grhya-Sutras. Historians also believe that Holi was celebrated by all Aryans but more so in the Eastern part of India.
It is said that Holi existed several centuries before Christ. However, the meaning of the festival is believed to have changed over the years. Earlier it was a special rite performed by married women for the happiness and well-being of their families and the full moon (Raka) was worshiped.
Bright colors, water balloons, lavish gujiyas and melodious songs are the ingredients of perfect Holi.
Wishing You A Very Happy and Wonderful Holi.
