Special Assembly of Class IV

On 24^th July class IV presented their special assembly celebrating ‘Van Mahotsav’.

Children presented various items that included speeches on van mahotsav and importance of trees. Some children recited poems on importance of trees and how we should throw away seeds and sow them instead. Finally two children on behalf of Primary Department presented sapling of neem tree and hibiscus to Mrs. Vandana Sehgal, Incharge of Primary Department , which were later planted in the school garden.

A street play by Asmita Theatre Group

Dear Reader,

A street play by Asmita Theatre Group was presented on 29 July 2015 in the school for the students of classes XI and XII. It was based on gender equality and more on giving due respect to girls. The main Actress Shilpi Marwaha and others were awesome. Shilpa Marwaha acted in Raanjhanaa film as Rashmi, Abhay Deol's sister.

Important information

Dear Reader,
Former President Dr APJ Abdul Kalam passed away in Shillong on Monday, 27th July. Dr Kalam was the 11th President of India, and was one of the most popular head of state India has seen. His demise was a loss to our nation and it was grievously mourned by everyone. From politicians and celebrities, to the general public, there is not a single person in this nation tonight who is not is a state of mourning.
The school will remain closed today (28 July 2015) to pay tribute to missile man.

Prefectorial Board 2015-16

Dear Reader,

Selection of the Prefectorial Board is very sacred and a well planned procedure in CRPF Public School, Rohini. Every year students are selected with a lot of deliberation especially the head boy, head girl, deputy head boy, deputy head girl and the executive members.

This year too, there were 3 rounds. In the first round, 3 boys and 3 girls from each house, Shradha, Shrum, Shaurya and Shakti were selected and they appeared for a written quiz. In that 18 students got selected, 9 boys and 9 girls. After that there was a teachers' voting round. This was a tough decision on the part of the teachers as all the 18 candidates were deserving.

Finally 5 from each boys and girls category went through the final extempore round. After a nail biting competition, Sourav Nanda became the Head boy, Sucheta Kumari, the Head girl, Bhaskar , the deputy Head boy, Akanksha Aurora, the deputy Head girl and Garima & Ashutosh, the executive members.

Congratulations to all of them.

Special Assembly of Class V on Eid

Special assembly was organized by students of class V on the occasion of Eid. Students shared information on Why and How Eid is celebrated, recited poems on this special celebration of the festival. Theatrical performance was loudly applauded by everyone Ninad Singh (V-B) and Anvi Khatri (V-B) received certificates for participating in ‘Mathematics Movement’ organized by S.D. Public School, Pitampura at Vivekananda Auditorium on 30^th April 2015.

Fancy Dress Competition 

 A fancy dress competition was held on 17^th July 15 for class III. The topic was fruits and vegetables. They had to depict any fruit or vegetables and talk about its uses and good qualities. The students dressed up in colourful costumes and participated in the competition with great zeal and enthusiasm.
