IIT's 2009 Result... Congratulations!
Well...The Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) need no introduction either in India or abroad. The Institutes were set up by the Government of India as `Institutions of National Importance' and almost all reputed international academic benchmarks have given them high rating.There are seven IITs in the country located at Bombay, Delhi, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras, Guwahati and Roorkee.
Anyways, we earlier reported about the IIT's 2009 Result (Around 4 lac IIT aspirants appeared this year). HERE COMES THE ELECTION EXPRESS !
Dear all
We all know that our country is finally done with its 15Th Lok Sabha Elections. But do you know that some of your fellow students already knew who’s going to make it to the top…Actually; we are talking about the school team comprising Ashvini Pandey, Sahil Gupta, Gargi Malhotra and Arti Uniyal; who conducted a survey regarding elections through a questionnaire. Click here to check out their questionnaire.
And yes, there are not-so-general things that are worth pondering upon about these General Elections. For instance:
1. For the first time ever, a new Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) took over the office while during the period when Election process was going on i.e. N Gopalaswami’s tenure was over on 20Th April 2009 and new CEC Chawla assumed the office on 21st April 2009.
2. There has been overall of 57% polling all over India while in the 1st General Elections (1951)the total voter’s turn out was 45.0 and the largest has been in 1984 i.e. 63.5%.

SUMMER CAMP 2009
Dear all
Phew...we must admit that the scorching heat of this summer is getting intolerable with each passing day. Anyways, we managed to beat the heat for some time at least(11 May -21 May, to be precise!), as we had a really successful Summer Camp this year too.
The diversity of activities that were offered was magnificent. Ranging from Vedic maths, Pottery, Puppetry, Making best out of waste, Meal planning, Theatre and drama to western and classical dances, yoga and the still ongoing games and sports; the camp had everything that one could crave for.
And yes, how can we fail to report about the icing on the cake i.e. Movie Time.........Children were shown this very thrilling and engrossing movie- THE PREY, on their last day of Summer Camp. The entire theatre room was resounding with thunderous claps. The participants were also awarded a certificate of participation. We loved the whole feeling of having hosted a very enriching Summer Camp for these young learners. The dedication of teacher coordinators is worth applause.
On this note, we wish everyone HAPPY HOLIDAYS. We will see you after the vacations. Till then... Enjoy, and keep following us. And yes, check out the photographs of Summer Camp by clicking here . We are sure that you will love them.

What better occasion than this to release our logo. Yes, you got it right (turn your eyes to the right!). You can see, we have deliberately miss-spelt and split apart TOGETHER - to Gather, to give meaning to it. Read more about us in our journal. Yes, you got it right again !!! As a token of thanks for the love and appreciation that we recieved, we are ready with the Introductory Isuue of our journal BLACK BOARD. To read our journal, click here. WE WILL WIN...
Taking this way, where there was no path
Took courage;
Making our way, to leave a trail
Took immense courage.
We had nothing to lose then;
Everything's awaiting to be conquered.
Moving through nothingness on the way;
We painted our own world.
We weren't lucky, though;
We too had our share of ups and downs;
Hands held together with determination;
We fought on to live on.
We were desperate to win,
While we lost with a smile.
A smile to hold worthwhile,
For we will win some other time...
YOU OUGHTN'T MISS THIS...

Indian General Election, 2009
Dear All
DID YOU KNOW THAT???
Do you know that there is a system in our constitution, as per the 1969 act, in section "49-O"that a person can go to the polling booth, confirm his identity, get his finger marked and convey the presiding election officer that he doesn't want to vote anyone!
Yes, such a feature is available, but obviously nobody has ever disclosed it. This is called “49-O ".
RULE 49-O is a Rule in The Conduct of Elections Rules, 1961, which governs elections in India. It covers the procedures to be followed when a valid voter decides not to cast his vote, and decides to record this fact. Recording one's vote under Rule 49-O is a choice that voters can exercise to prevent electoral fraud, and misuse of their vote.
This would hopefully bring fear into parties and hence would look for genuine candidates to give out tickets.
