Introduction of Value based questions in all major subjects in classes IX-XII w.e.f. session 2012-13.

Dear All

It is to bring to your notice that CBSE has decided to follow an interdisciplinary approach in value education where values are intermingled with the content of all the major subjects in classes IX to XII. The Board has also decided to assess students for 5 percent weighting in the major subjects through questions which will be integrated with the content of the subject and analyzed on the basis of the values it reflects.
The questions will be for 5 marks in a question paper of 100 marks and 3-4 marks in a question paper of 70-90 marks. This will be effective from the Summative Assessments-II 2012-2013 in classes IX, X. The Board Exam in 2013 for Classes X (Summative-II) and Class XII will also have such questions.

THE NEW FACE OF STUDENT LEADERSHIP

Dear all

Remember that to 'preach' is to tell others the right way to do something; to 'practice' is to do the thing yourself. You 'practice what you preach' when you yourself do something the same way you tell others to do it.
The day of July 20, 2012 brought yet another chapter to the history of CRPF Public School. The school saw yet another dawn of the new set of potential student leaders, precisely, the Head-Boy and the Head-Girl. Undoubtedly, for the first time ever, the school went democratic to the very core i.e. while electing the members of the Prefectorial Board.
The selection procedure began with the nominations of potential candidates from Class XII. All the nominees appeared for a written exam to test their general aptitude and awareness. The top four girls (Sasha Agarwal XII D, Vasundhra Malik XII D, Pragya XII E, Madhumita XII E) and boys (Tushar Chakrabarty XII-D, Prasad B. Mohite XII C, Rahul Sharma XII C and Akshay Bisht XII B) hence qualified to appear in the final round.

The final round was an extempore in the morning assembly which tested the spontaneity and the overall personality of all the selected candidates. It was surely a close call and a tough competition among the candidates. However, surely one girl and one boy outshone the others. Hence, after such a daunting selection procedure, Principal Sir finally declared Sasha Agarwal and Prasad B. Mohite as the Head Girl and the Head Boy respectively for the school for the session 2012-13. We wish them Good luck while they make the school a better place to be at.

             Prasad B. Mohite                   Sasha Agarwal

Here is the list of Prefectorial Board.
The total numbers of posts available in the Board are 38, including the Head Boy and Head Girl. The other posts include the House Captains (One from each house) and House Vice-Captains (two from each house, one from each class XII and XI), Prefects (seven from each house, five from class XII and two from class XI).
